Starting January 1, 2025, at 7:00 AM, UAE residents applying for a Thailand visa must use the new e-Visa platform. Physical submission of passports and original documents at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai will no longer be required, according to an official notice from the Embassy.
To apply, applicants must first create an account on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand’s official website. After completing the application form and uploading the required documents, the visa fee must be paid online. A receipt will be sent to the registered email address.
Applicants are advised to ensure all information is accurate and free from errors, as inaccuracies may lead to rejection. The embassy reserves the right to request additional documents or an in-person interview during the review process if needed.
Once the e-Visa is approved, the applicant will receive a confirmation email, which must be printed and presented to airline staff and immigration officials in Thailand.
The last date for in-person visa submissions at the Abu Dhabi embassy is December 24, 2024, with collection on December 26, 2024.
