Tragic Car Accident in Saudi Arabia Claims Lives of Two Emiratis; UAE Airlifts the Injured

Two UAE citizens tragically lost their lives, and three others were injured in a traffic accident on an external road in Saudi Arabia, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Friday. The ministry has been working closely with Saudi authorities since the incident occurred.

In response to the accident, the UAE National Guard’s National Search and Rescue Center carried out a medical air evacuation to bring the injured citizens back to the UAE. Initially treated at King Khalid Hospital in Hail, Saudi Arabia, the injured were later transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in the UAE. The remains of the deceased were also repatriated.

This incident highlights the increasing number of road accidents involving Emirati citizens traveling by car to neighboring Gulf countries, particularly Saudi Arabia and Oman. Authorities have called on travelers to exercise caution and ensure proper preparation before embarking on road trips.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its gratitude to Saudi authorities for their cooperation, which enabled the efficient evacuation and repatriation efforts.
