The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced that January 1, 2025, a Wednesday, will be a paid public holiday for all private-sector employees. This marks the first official holiday of the new year and aligns with the UAE’s previously released 2025 holiday schedule.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has also confirmed that January 1, 2025, will be a public holiday for government employees.
In 2025, UAE residents will enjoy up to 13 public holidays. According to a UAE Cabinet resolution, the dates for the Eid Al Fitr holiday will differ slightly next year.
