Hotels in Downtown Dubai, renowned for their iconic Burj Khalifa views, remain a top choice for New Year’s Eve celebrations, but prices have skyrocketed. A two-bedroom apartment at Grand Opera Tower Lux is listed at Dh75,429 for a two-night stay from December 31, 2024, to January 2, 2025, reflecting a sharp surge in demand.

Luxury accommodations in popular areas like Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, and JBR are nearly fully booked, with only high-priced hotel apartments and short-term rentals still available, according to industry sources. Many hotels are reporting occupancy rates close to 100 percent.

Even budget-friendly options with Burj Khalifa views come at a premium, ranging from Dh3,330 for a deluxe room at Damac Maison Mall Street to Dh11,475 for a Holistay Luxury Homes apartment. As Dubai prepares for a record-breaking New Year’s Eve, travelers face steep costs.

“There has been a 20 percent increase in bookings for local destinations,” said Rikant Pittie, Co-founder of EaseMyTrip. “Popular choices include luxury beachside resorts in Dubai, hotels with amusement park access on Yas Island, and mountain retreats in Ras Al Khaimah.”
