Dubai New Year: As Dubai prepares to ring in the New Year with celebrations, local authorities are prioritizing the safety and security of residents, citizens, and visitors. The Dubai Events Security Committee has urged the public to adhere to safety measures, ensuring a comfortable, enjoyable, and secure experience for everyone attending the festivities. Here are the key guidelines to help you plan your night:

1. Arrive Early: Avoid congestion in celebration areas

To minimize delays, attendees are advised to arrive early at celebration venues. According to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), several roads leading to Downtown Dubai for the Burj Khalifa fireworks will be closed to manage traffic. These include Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and Burj Khalifa Street, starting from 4 pm onwards. Gradual closures of major roads will follow, beginning at 11 pm.

The RTA recommends using the Dubai Metro, the most convenient mode of transport to reach celebration sites. The Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station will remain closed until 5:00 PM or until it reaches full capacity. Dubai Metro will operate for an extended 43-hour schedule, covering all 53 stations, from 5 am on Tuesday, December 31, to midnight on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
