Dubai Duo To Run 7 Marathons Across 7 Continents in Just 7 Days to Aid Needy Children

Marathon

Imagine enduring freezing -25°C temperatures to run 42.2km in Antarctica, then hopping on flights to race across South Africa, Australia, the UAE, Spain, Brazil, and the US—all within seven days.

This grueling challenge, known as the World Marathon Challenge, involves running seven marathons on seven continents in just one week. Two Dubai residents, James Elliot-Square and Paris Norriss, are preparing to take on this extraordinary feat in January 2025.

Their motivation goes beyond the thrill of the challenge. The duo aims to raise funds for the Sparkle Foundation and the Sovereign Art Foundation, organizations dedicated to supporting underprivileged children across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The endeavor is their most ambitious yet, requiring over 10 months of rigorous preparation. Their training regimen includes running more than 200km each week, maintaining a strict diet, and following a detailed recovery and logistics plan to tackle this incredible test of endurance.
