The Hatta Honey Festival, the UAE’s premier annual event dedicated to supporting Emirati beekeepers and the honey production sector, kicks off today, Friday, December 27. Organized by Dubai Municipality, the festival will run until December 31, featuring the participation of 52 Emirati beekeepers.
This initiative aligns with The Hatta Master Development Plan, which aims to boost the region’s development through various economic projects and private sector investment opportunities. As part of the ‘Hatta Winter’ initiative, the festival offers residents, tourists, and visitors a chance to explore a wide variety of honey products while enjoying Hatta’s stunning natural landscapes, rugged terrain, and pleasant winter climate.
Held at Hatta Hall, the festival serves as a key platform for investment and marketing, supporting the honey production sector and showcasing Emirati beekeepers’ products. It aims to enhance quality and health standards in Dubai’s honey industry, foster knowledge exchange in honey production, and introduce innovative methods to improve honey quality.
Additionally, the event drives economic growth by creating opportunities for Hatta residents and local small and medium enterprises (SMEs), aligning with the emirate’s broader strategy for comprehensive development and community well-being. Hatta continues to cement its status as one of the UAE’s top tourist destinations, strengthening its position on the global tourism map.
