As the clock strikes midnight on December 31, Abu Dhabi will usher in the New Year with a spectacular fireworks extravaganza at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba. This grand celebration will feature 53 minutes of continuous fireworks, complemented by an array of dazzling displays.

The New Year’s Eve festivities promise extraordinary attractions, including breathtaking fireworks and drone shows lasting over an hour, accompanied by advanced light and laser technology. With a goal to break six new Guinness World Records, the celebrations will be a feast for the senses. The fireworks will begin at 6 PM, launching hourly until the grand finale at midnight. Preceding the main fireworks, a 20-minute drone spectacle at 11:40 PM will feature 6,000 drones creating captivating artistic formations in the sky. Among these, 3,000 drones will craft the phrase “Happy New Year” to extend warm wishes for the coming year.

Adding to the excitement, the Emirates Fountain Stage will showcase an extraordinary display combining 80 laser devices to illuminate the Al Wathba skyline. Meanwhile, over 100,000 balloons will ascend into the sky, creating a magical atmosphere.

The gates to the Sheikh Zayed Festival will open at 2 PM on New Year’s Eve. Organizers have advised visitors to secure tickets in advance, as entry will be restricted once the venue reaches its full capacity.
