The Sanadkom initiative, originally launched in January for UAE nationals, has now been expanded to include all residents in Abu Dhabi, it was announced on Thursday.
This comprehensive program offers full support to families following the death of a loved one in the emirate, with all fees related to death-related transactions—such as the issuance of certificates, embalming, and repatriation of remains—fully covered under the initiative.
Simplifying the often-complicated procedures involved, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has extended Sanadkom to benefit expatriates as well. The initiative provides essential assistance, including obtaining death certificates, arranging burials, and preparing the deceased for travel when required.
Sanadkom operates through a centralized platform that streamlines processes by connecting seven government entities. These include the Department of Health (DoH), Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), Abu Dhabi Pension Fund (ADPF), Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), and Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC).
